Hi I'm Lyndon

I'm Mormon. I am from Fresno, California and I am currently attending school on the North shore of Oahu

About Me

I love being around people and finding new adventures. While living in Hawaii, I spend as much time as I can snorkeling or Scuba Diving. I just love to be in the water. I also love taking the opportunity to take some motorcycles out and finding random things to fix. Spending time with my family is also a huge value of mine

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have taken the time to know my Father in Heaven and His Son Jesus Christ. I remember the first time I prayed to know about the existence of God and if he was really even there. God has the ability to speak to us, we can come to know our Father in Heaven through His Son Jesus Christ. Christ is the gateway to our Father in Heaven. The establishment of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints includes modern day prophets. I do not consider myself perfect and all knowing of Gods plan for us. Know we have a Prophet and Apostles on this earth today is beautiful. I need constant reminders, understanding of how we should deal with the constantly changing world. The words and Insights that have come from Biblical and present prophets has helped me come closer to Christ. I am Mormon because I believe in God the Eternal Father and in His Son Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

While being an active member in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints I have been able to serve in many aspects of the church. The Mormon Church is so beautifully set up, allowing all the members to serve and be served. I have recently had the opportunity to teach Sunday School on a Bi-weekly basis. We are currently studying the Old Testament, and I love teaching and relating the stories to our lives today. It is amazing the knowledge we can gain when we have the opportunity to teach. There have been other duties that I have performed including working with the youth groups, and assisting in worship services on Sundays and even giving talks in front of the whole church during the Sacrament meetings. It is a great blessing to me to hear from others and also share my own experiences within the walls of the church.

What is the First Vision?

The first Vision is one of my favorite modern day miracles. Joseph Smith as a Young Boy questioned the reality of which church he should be associated with. Today there are thousands of churches all across the world all teaching us how to become closer to God. Joseph decided to ask God which church he should join. He was full of faith and earnestly sought wisdom from the Lord. To his great astonishment he received a vision from God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. Joseph Smith was called to be a prophet, and restore the Gospel that had been lost in the times of Jesus Christ. The Lord restored his church through Joseph Smith being called as a Prophet. There are living prophets today just as there had been in the times of the Bible. Show more Show less
