Hi I'm Jamie

I am a wife, mother, and a Mathematician. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being a mother to my 7 month old baby girl. I love teaching her to clap and play. I am excited for her to learn to walk and talk someday. My husband and I met at college in physics class. I married the best Man in the entire world in 2012. We are both big nerds. I love math and problem solving and finally graduated in 2014 with a degree in Mathematics. I love playing board games like Settlers and Balderdash. I play online with my husband at Star Craft and Heroes of the Storm. I also love playing my clarinet and preforming in my community band. I love learning how to cook and I like trying new recipes! I just barely learned how to make homemade sushi, delicious! My family is the center of my life and brings me the greatest joy being with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the Book of Mormon is true and testifies of Jesus Christ. When you read this book and follow the counsel of the prophet Moroni to pray if these things are true, you can feel this truth and come closer to our Savior. When I was 8 years old I read the testimony of Joseph Smith in the begining of the Book of Mormon and I prayed to know if it was true and if Joseph Smith really was a prophet of God. I received a testimony for my self at that young age that it is true and Joseph Smith translated it by the power of God. Throughout my life I have constantly prayed to know if it is true and I have received many personal revelations that this gospel is true and that this is literally God's church on the Earth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by teaching the young girls in our church. I plan activities every two weeks for the 8-9 year old girls where we play games, learn skills, and come closer to our father in heaven. I also visit three ladies in my church every month and share gospel lessons with them and strengthen one another spiritually. I also participate in a women's political group at a neighbors home where we share ideas and recent news and work with the state representatives to help improve our communities and stay aware of recent events. I live my faith by serving others and sharing the gospel with others.

What are some things that tell to you there is a God?

In the Bible it says that God created the world: From every blade of grass to the tallest mountain we can see his work and the beauty and intricit detail in it. Every time I see the sun in my eyes, I remember that God created the earth for us and that he is real- John 1:3. The lord's hand is in everything we see around us. When I pray to him, I feel good inside and at peace. I know he is my Heavenly father and that he loves me because I have felt his love. He loves each and everyone of us and I am glad that he gave us this beautiful world to live in. Show more Show less
