Hi I'm Kirk

I'm a business owner, a dad, a grandfather, a motorcycle nut, and I'm a mormon!

About Me

I live in Southern California and am the father of 3, and the grandfather of 3. I own my own company that provides diversion program services for District Attorneys across the nation. Besides my family and my relationship with God, my passions are motorcycling, the ocean and seeking truth. I grew up in Twin Falls, Idaho, attended Brigham Young University, served as a missionary for two years in the former Yugoslavia, lived for 4 years in Reading Pennsylvania and now in California since 1984.

Why I am a Mormon

My ancestors joined the church during the time of the Church's founder, Joseph Smith. I come from a long line of dedicated members who have given me a legacy and strong roots in a rewarding life style. With that being said, I am not a member because of that legacy. My membership is a choice. I have dedicated much of the last decade to studying religion, both my own and other religious philosophies around the world. The result is that I have found no other religious thought that answers my questions or leads its members in such a sound, rewarding life style. Believe me, I have read everything written about the church, its doctrines and its history and would be honored to discuss any questions anyone might have. I am a member of the Church because I believe it brings me closer to God than any other religious philosophy I have found... and because I believe it's teachings are those of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Living your faith is an all day, every day endeavor... it's not just what you do, but who you are. I strive to live my faith by how I treat others. Hopefully others see that as a sign that followers of Christ are happy and kind, which is how I interpret his teachings.

Are Mormons Christians?

Anyone who believes that Jesus Christ is their Savior and strives to follow his teachings is a Christian. I have to believe that Jesus himself saddened at the arguments posed by some against his followers. Every Christian religion has variations in their doctrines, none of which changes the fact that the individual members of those churches are true followers of Christ. Yes, I am Christian. I accept Jesus Christ as my Savior and the only being through whom salvation can be had. Show more Show less
