Hi I'm Kait

I'm a college student. I am fascinated with fiber arts knitting/spinning. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a twenty-two year old college student. I've been in college since I was seventeen and I'm still not 100 percent sure what I want to do with my life! I love learning and trying new things and new places... so much so that I've lived in 5 states in as many years! I love to knit! It is fascinating to me the different things that you can do with yarn. I love trying out new challenging patterns and seeing the beautiful things that can be created! I just recently learned how to spin (yarn on a spinning wheel, not to be confused with spinning at the gym) it's absolutely fascinating. I'm not too good at it yet, but I love the challenge! Who knows what will come next. I also love to hike and be out in nature. Walks and hikes and camping trips are all things I love to do.

Why I am a Mormon

I feel like there are a million things that I could put in this section! ...because we teach the doctrine of eternal families, and my family is so important to me. ... because we believe that there is more to the afterlife than sitting around on clouds and playing harps. ... because we have the power and authority to preform the ordinances required to return to live with God again ... because it just makes sense There are a million reasons I can think of to be Mormon, but the most important reason is because I've prayed about it. I've sought to develop my own relationship with God, and I've sought to know his will for me. Through prayer and study, I've come to know for myself that this is truly Jesus Christ's gospel, and that it is only in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that the authority of Jesus Christ is found on the earth. I know that we have living prophets that can give us guidance, but we also have the Holy Ghost which gives us direct guidance. Through the combination of those two lines of revelation and the scriptures, we can know with absolute surety what is required of us to return to live with God AND our families again! I'm so grateful for the opportunity I've had to find out for myself the truth of these things! There is no truth in simply being asked to believe what is told to you only in experimenting and coming to know for yourself! Just like in school, no one else can do the learning for you!

How I live my faith

I like to think that I live my faith the way any believer of Jesus Christ should, by trying to emulate and follow his teachings and commandments every day of my life. I'm not perfect in that by a long shot, but everyday I resolve to do better and find ways that I can make the world a better happier place, one person at a time. It isn't about going to church once a week or doing big flashy things for the rest of the world to see, it's about everyday striving to become more Christlike and develop my own personal relationship with God!
