Hi I'm Clark

I'm an Orthodontist, marathoner, endurance cyclist and outdoor enthusiast, father, husband. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I ran my first marathon 20 years ago. I did it because my good friend ran one that I was supposed to run with him. I was just not ready to run so I let him run alone. I am somewhat competitive and was not going to let him do something that I couldn't at least try to do, so I trained and ran my first marathon in 3 hours and 1 minute! I was so sore after that experience that i swore I would never do that again! After couple of weeks I decided that I if I trained a little differently I could break the 3 hour mark. So I started training again and I just kept running. Right now my personal best time is 2:48

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a Mormon but have had to have my own journey of discovery. I decided when I was 14 years old that I could not just do what my parents wanted me to without some reason. I read the Book of Moron and became convinced through a very real spiritual experience that it was true and I have never looked back.

How I live my faith

I try to just serve other people. My office mission statement is in part to "be the best part of our patient's day". I try hard to live that way with my family , friends and everyone I meet.

Are there restrictions based on race or color concerning who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have the priesthood?

No, the church has no  restrictions based on ethnicity. In 1978, the priesthood was open to all worthy males irrespective of race. Prior to that, blacks were restricted from the priesthood, a revelation given to the Prophet Spencer W. Kimballl changed that practice. We believe in living prophets who reveal to the world God's will!  Show more Show less
