Hi I'm Preston

I am a skiier, a Red Sox fan, and a law student. I'm convinced every great day starts with a nice run outside. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

So I'm in my third year at law school. I am focusing on the areas of tax, disability, and estate planning. I have a wife and a daughter, and I am enjoying every minute of life. I like to ski. I grew up on the Applachian Mountains, and I've skiied many of the mountains out west. I mostly enjoy alpine, but I have recently started to enjoy cross country. I have also run several marathons, and I am quickly becoming a fan of biking.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Lutheran family. But I have found strength in the tenants of the LDS faith eternal families, modern prophets, and ordinances for deceased family. The doctrine of the LDS faith has resounded well with my spiritual ear, and the Faith's teachings were confirmed in the Bible. I love that when I pray the Lord hears my prayers and gives me guidance. I love the feeling of knowing that my wife, daughter and I will forever be a family, not just "until death do us part." I have found purpose to this existance. There's so much more to life than what we perceive without the guidance of a living prophet. There has always been a prophet on the earth - why not in our times as well?

How I live my faith

I wake up and go for a run. Come home and make my lunch. Go to school, study hard. Come home at night to kiss my girls, and study some more. Read a little of the good book, say my prayers and go to bed. - There's a lot more excitement in it too - but this is the gist of it.

In whom should we have faith?

I would first place trust in yourself you are a litteral child of god. Pray and ask God. You can have faith that he'll answer your prayers. After that, it's all between you and him. I feel that I can have faith in the living prophet and my local leaders. But like all of man, they are prone to make gaffs as well. Show more Show less
