Hi I'm Sarah

I grew up in San Diego. I'm a National Tango Champion. I'm a Mormon, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

About Me

I'm a recent college graduate, currently creating and improving materials to aid full-time missionaries to learn foreign languages. I love working to help others come unto Christ. I love my family, the outdoors, ballroom dancing, music performance and serving others! I recently have become a champion of Rummikub thanks to the elderly people at the Cambridge Assisted Living.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised believing in Christ and have learned for myself that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and we have a living prophet to guide us, just like those in ancient times. As a Mormon I feel I have a clear understanding of my identity and my purpose in life. This knowledge has changed my life for the better.

How I live my faith

I hope to live my life in a way that reflects the teachings of Jesus Christ. I invite everyone to come unto Christ through accepting His gospel. Come and see. We invite everyone to listen to our message and then pray and ask God, our Father in Heaven, if our message could be true. If you are sincerely open to knowing and acting on your answer, God will answer your prayer.

Are Mormons Christians?

Absolutely! Jesus Christ and His Atoning sacrifice is central in our religion and in our message of our Heavenly Father's plan of happiness for His children. If a Christian by definition is someone who believes in Jesus Christ, members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are Christian.     Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

We believe the Bible is the word of God as far as it is translated correctly. We love the Bible and study it as the holy scripture that it is. Scripture is God's word to us through his servants the prophets and apostles. Men like Adam, Moses, Abraham, and Isaiah taught the people on the earth directly and also wrote down their teachings in the scriptures. The purpose of a prophet is to teach us and guide us to understand and follow Jesus Christ. As we study the scriptures we learn more about, and can feel closer to God. The Bible and the Book of Mormon support each other as they both testify of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

God is our loving father in Heaven. He has a body of flesh and bone. He is all knowing, all powerful, merciful, just and pure. He wants the best for us and has a plan for us to return and live with Him. Knowing this brings purpose and meaning to our lives. To understand that God is a being who knows and loves us individually, as His children, we can develop a intimate relationship with Him. As we strive to know Him and become like Him our relationship with Him is strengthened and our lives have a greater sense of meaning, purpose and direction. Show more Show less
