Hi I'm Jenny

I grew up in Boston and I love to dance. I am a student, mother, and wife and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and I am a full-time working mother of two. I am in graduate school pursuing an MPA. I love to dance-and teach Zumba Fitness to keep up with dancing and staying healthy. I was raised in a big city by a single mother. I lived in a few different states as a child and so I now enjoy traveling and learning about other cultures.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have seen the positive things that have come into my life because of the gospel. The principles taught have made me a better person. I love the emphasis on family and on service. I love the gospel and the things that I learn from it. The other reason is that I can combine my secular knowledge with spiritual knowledge and make it even more profound. I am a Mormon because I love Jesus Christ and it helps me be aware of how I can be more like him each day.

How I live my faith

I love serving in my ward. My current assignment is to teach children ages 7-8. I teach a class each week on gospel principles like: honesty, Jesus Christ, tithing, serving others, and being reverent. I am also a visiting teacher to two sisters in our ward. With my companion, we visit them each month to share a spiritual thought and inquire about their well being.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

The LDS church is involved in humanitarian efforts across the world. The focus is to help those in need-regardless of their religious affiliation. My favorite part about this effort is that it often goes unnoticed by the rest of the world-and that's ok because the point is to serve those who have needs and not to serve so that people notice.
