Hi I'm Justin

I am a Medical Device Sales Representative. I am a runner. I am a 37 year old husband and father of 4. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. I work for Hill-Rom's respiratory division. I market and educate about products which help lungs stay clean and healthy. I love my job but it is such a small piece of the pie of my life. I met and fell in love with my wife while shooting her sister's wedding video. I think I got more footage of her that day than her sister. We celebrated our ten year anniversary this year! I love our marriage! I love my wife dearly. She has brought so much joy to my life and has given me the greatest gift in the world, our four children. Two girls, two boys, and a never-ending supply of spills, noise, places to go, bandaids and complaints from the neighbors. Some might look at us from the outside and think "chaos", but I am on the inside and I can only call it one thing, "Happiness".

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it just feels so good. The foundation of my testimony comes from my studying The Book of Mormon. I believe that there is not a more powerful witness of the truthfulness of the gospel than that incredible book. Among the many misconceptions of the church, is that those who were born in the church just are there because thay don't really know any better. This concept was challenged for me when it became time to leave all that I had behind to serve a two year mission. My life was good at the time. I had a great job as one of the youngest producers of a live television show. I had a great girlfriend. I had a great family life. How could I possible up and leave all this without knowing it was right. I would not, could not do it without a sincere testimony that what I was doing right. Well, to make a long story short, I got my answer. I served two years as a missionary in the Kobe, Japan Mission. The tv show I was producing got cancelled and my girlfriend married someone else but boy did I get upgraded in both departments after I got back. My testimony of the gospel continues to grow as I apply the standards and precepts taught to me by the scriptures, the prophets and the Holy Ghost. There has never been a single doctrine in this church, that if applied and lived correctly has not added to my happiness.

How I live my faith

One of the beautiful things about this church is the opportunities it provides to volunteer and serve. I have been called as a scoutmaster, a teacher, an activities coordinator, a choir director, an athletics director and have had many other assignments within the church. Last year I taught a childrens class with my wife. We were in charge of the 3 to 4 year olds class. It was crazy! But I learned a ton from those kids. This year I am serving as the leader of a congregation of about 500 people, as designed by a geographical location. Only in this church can you go in an instant from teaching 3 year olds to leading a congregation! Both jobs are very different. But both have required obedience and humility in order to recognize and follow the promptings of the spirit so that I can serve the way the Lord wants me to and not just do what I think is best.
