Hi I'm Jennifer Clowers

I live near Evansville, Indiana. I'm a mom to FOUR boys and am happily married. I am a stay at home mom.

About Me

I'm a wife. I'm a stay at home mom - aka teacher, cook, wife, nurse, laundry mat, accountant, babysitter, cheerleader, cleaning lady, ect. - to four crazy little boys. I love to bake and read a good book. I'm a hoosier. I wait tables part-time in the evenings for fun.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Christian home. I've always followed Christ. It wasn't until I met my husband - and his family - that I really learned about the church. At that time, I started studying on my own and praying about which direction our family should go: a non-denominational church, which is great, or a church that seemed to have answers for every question I had that my former church leaders would answer with, "we don't know". But THIS church had answers. And they didn't just "claim" to have answers. It was like, "Hey. Don't take our word for it, ask for yourself in prayer". That is just what I did and what I found was that we could communicate with Heavenly Father. He knows us. He loves us and WANTS us to understand his plan for our lives. I have never felt more inspired or motivated to be a better wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, or person than when I read the Book of Mormon and hear the words of our leaders today.

How I live my faith

My husband holds an elected office in our community, so we are in the public eye where we live. Everyone knows we are different because of how we live our lives. We don't drink alcohol or even tea and coffee so people get curious. They know we go to church for 3 hours on Sunday. They know my husband teachs the young men in our branch and often goes on scouting trips. They know I teach young children at church and that we have service projects that benefit the community. We value family and church and values when sometimes others don't and I think people respect that.

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

Jennifer Clowers
We believe that the Bible is true as far as it is translated correctly. It is a part of history that the churches in earlier times compiled the books of the Bible as they saw fit. Many gospel truths were taken out or changed before people were able to get a Bible for themselves to read and study. We do, however, esteem the Bible to be the Word of God and follow it just like any other Christian church. The Book of Mormon does not take away from the Bible at all and actually is to be read as a companion to the Bible to fully understand Christ's mission while hear on Earth. Show more Show less
