Hi I'm Lesa

I'm from Idaho, served a mission in Spain, am married with four children, and love teaching math at an "at-risk" high school.

About Me

I am a math teacher at an alternative high school. I work with students that have home difficulties, trouble with the law, probation officers, and low academic skills. I love the students I work with. My focus is to help them finish their high school education and prepare for college and a career. I am married with two daughters and two sons. My husband is a computer technician. His family is from China.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of my belief in the FULLNESS of the restored gospel. I appreciate the tenets and beliefs of many religions and learn from them. This church gives me a fullness of knowledge of God, Jesus, commandments, ordinances, pre-earth life, post-earth life, scriptures including the Bible and Book of Mormon, as well as a personal knowledge of truth and inspiration given to me daily through the Holy Ghost. I have a testimony of the restored gospel and that feeling sustains me in difficulties.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to live my life supporting and nurturing others to feel the love of our Heavenly Father and the Savior. I try to be an example of honest living and being a believer in God and His eternal plan for us. I have experience in helping people with addictions and want them and everyone to know they can live a life filled with the comfort, love, and support of our Heavenly Father.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Everyone is a child of God and we are here to help each other. The Mormon Church has an excellent humanitarian aid program which often is one of the first agencies to offer relief supplies and services in disasters across the world--to people of all faiths. I spent 18 months as a Mormon missionary in Spain and met and made friends with many people not of the Mormon faith. Throughout my life, I have made many friends with those who are not members but I love them for who they are. Show more Show less
