Hi I'm Sendys

I'm a daughter of God, a Disciple of Christ, Dominican, and I'm a MORMON!

About Me

I am probably one of the loudest people anyone will ever meet....I've toned it down a bit though..the Lord is working on me...lol! I love knowing that I have a loving Heavenly Father who knows me by name and wants nothing but the best for. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has changed my life and as a result I'll NEVER be the same. I'm now on a path that will lead me back to my rightful place--the Kingdom of God. We've been given this amazing world to become what our Father in Heaven knows we have the potential to become and he's provided a Savior that makes it all possible. With Christ with us we ARE UNSTOPPABLE! I LOVE HIM!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because it absolutely makes sense to be. My Heavenly Father loves me and wants me to return to him; in order for me to do that I have to be baptized in his Son's church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) and become what he would have me become.

How I live my faith

I literally take it one day at a time. I read my scriptures, I pray constantly; I try to see the good in people--ALL people. I strive to be like Christ (the perfect example) and I share the joy and knowledge I've obtained with others around me. I ask for forgiveness when I mess up and forgive when others wrong me.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

The Word of Wisdom is basically latter-day revelation given to Joseph Smith that helps us take care of our bodies by avoiding such things that would harm us. These things are the following coffee, tea, tobacco, drugs, and alcohol. It makes sense to me to avoid putting these things in my body and the Word of Wisdom assures me of that.   Show more Show less

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

This is a really interesting question. A question that many of us struggle with probably all of our life. But I have increased by faith in Jesus Christ after I joined his church. I know now more than ever that Christ died for me that he loves me and wants me to be happy. I can increase my faith in him by searching, by praying, pondering, and ACTING!! We must ACT in order for our faith to increase. When I read the scriptures, I diligently search answers for many of my questions. I pray and humble myself before the Father and the Son and allow Christ to heal me. These feelings of peace and joy the love I feel when I pray is amazing. These feelings increase my faith in Christ for he never fails in doing his part in the plan. He is ALWAYS there, ALWAYS willing and able to help. Always ready to listen to me and plead with my father on my behalf. and this increases my faith in him because HE is in fact that only being that can help me besides myself to return to live with my Heavenly Father. Who was Joseph Smith?

Joseph Smith was an instrument in the hands of Heavenly Father to restore the Gospel. He was a prophet, a man chosen by God to bring forth many truths that were once lost. Joseph Smith served those around him and gave his life so that we everyone alive today can enjoy the blessings of the Gospel and know what to do in order to return to live with our Heavenly Father one day.  Show more Show less

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

We don't have paid clergy because we are a church of service. Jesus Christ himself gave us the commandment to love one another as he has loved us. For this reason, we serve those around us and do it willingly and without getting paid. When we are in the servie of others, we are only in the service of God. By serving we become better people and more like Christ our perfect example. Show more Show less

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Only those members of the church that are worthy Temple Recommend holders are able to enter into the Temple and perform saving ordinances. There is no secret, everyone who truly accepts Christ into their lives, are baptized, and live worthily has absolute access into the Temple it is the Lord's will that we ALL make it into his Holy Temples are are further edified in his purposes for us. It isn't a secret, it's just extremely SACRED. Only those who truly understand and accept the conditions by which they are able to enter the Temple, in fact have access. In the Temple many eternal truths are further unfolded unto us as children of our Heavenly Father--he wants us to know the things that we must do in this life to be able to return to him. Given the sacredness of these ordinances actions done to show God our willingness to do his will only worth members can enter into the Temples. Show more Show less
