Hi I'm Kym

I'm a California girl who loves to bake. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a working mom. I am a baker who dreams of opening my own bakery. I also dream of not missing too many moments in my son's life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because my knowledge of who I am in God's plan is what grounds me. Through any trial, that knowledge has kept me on my feet and moving forward. To really know that I am a daughter of God allows me to see myself through God's eyes. Sometimes it is easier said than done. But it is always a knowledge inside me. It also helps me to know that others are children of God, too, and I should treat them accordingly. Sometimes this is even harder. But my belief that He is our Heavenly Father and that He has a plan for us is what keeps me from giving up on me and on others.

How I live my faith

I am a teacher is our adult women's organization.

How are modesty and chastity related? How can parents teach their children to be modest in dress, language and behavior?

I believe to teach our children anything, we must first be examples of it. We can't expect to have modest children, if we are not. We must also support modesty and chastity. I believe that includes things we watch and read and allow into our home. This doesn't mean walking the line and then just hoping our children will know which side to choose. This means our children will have NO question where we stand. When they are deciding if they can bring that movie home they will know, without question, "Yep, my mom will let me watch that." or "Nope, she will never let me walk out of the house in that. No use in even buying it." Show more Show less
