Hi I'm Mark

I'm a Educator and Potter. I am a Husband and Father. And, I am a Mormon.

About Me

My hobbies included backpacking, rock climbing, bird watching, fly fishing, running and cycling. Now that I live away from the mountains and have a family my activities have changed some. As a family we go canoeing, bait fishing, biking, gardening and ocassionaly climbing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I see that The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints brings me closer to God. My heart has been touched by the Holy Spirit to witness of Christ, His divinity and the truth of His teachings. I know that Jesus is my Savior, that the atonement has been made for me. I have received a testimony that God the Father and His son Jesus Christ visited Joseph Smith. I know that Christ has called Prophets who live on the earth today. As I listen to their words, I often feel the Holy Ghost confirm the truthfulness of the message they share. When this happens, I commit to myself and to God that I will be a better disciple of Christ. By attending worship each week I receive strength to keep my resolve.

How I live my faith

I strive to follow the teachings of Christ by being kind to others. In an attempt to learn God's will I attend my church meetings, pray and read the scriptures. I'm not always good at reading scriptures every day.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Mormons believe that the family is eternal. In holy Temples, a husband and wife are married for all eternity if they remain faithful to each other and to God. There is a spirit of peace that attends these ceremonies. This gives reason to strengthen all our family relationships and assurance that we can. This attitude and a belief in God’s Plan of Salvation, helps me find joy in the day to day challenges. Show more Show less
