Hi I'm Riley

I'm loud. I'm a student. I'm happy. I'm just like you. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am currently a student at Brigham Young University in Provo. I will be graduating soon and I can't wait to move back to my home town Royal City in Washington state. I loved growing up in a small town. I know almost everyone there and it was a huge help to me to have a support group the size of my town. I am grateful for all the friends and family I have there that continue to influence me for good everyday. I am studying Exercise Science and Business and I am excited to someday work with my dad in his business. I love my family more than anything and I find comfort in knowing we can be together forever. I strive everyday to find reasons to be happy. God is good and he isn't afraid to show us. All we have to do is find it.

Why I am a Mormon

I'ma Mormon because I have been converted by the gospel of Jesus Christ. Many people are concerned that Mormons are brainwashed to be a part of this church because we will be punished if we are not. My beliefs were never forced upon me. I believe what I believe because I searched out the truth on my own. I read the Book of Mormon and I asked my Heavenly Father if it is true. I had and continue to have unbelievable experiences that confirm my faith and the love that God has for me. I know that God lives and loves us. No matter who we are or what we have done, there is a place for us beside God in his kingdom. I know this is possible because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, our Savior.

How I live my faith

I love serving in my church. I have had many responsibilities throughout my life. I have had the opportunity to grow as a person by serving, and that is the greatest reward I could ask for. I have had the opportunity to visit and provide service to elderly people, or those who may be sick. I have helped organize various activities for both youth groups and adults. The most rewarding thing I have done is to teach. I love to teach others about the gospel, both members and non-members of our church. I served a mission for two years in Nevada, mostly in the North Las Vegas area. I loved every minute serving the Lord in that way every day for two years. I now try to live my life everyday as if the Savior were walking right along side me. This helps motivate me to choose the right, and live my life in a way that I feel would make my Heavenly Father happy.
