Hi I'm Camilla

I'm a Brazilian living abroad. Photography is my passion and profession. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Brazil, and finished high school in Argentina. Now I'm a photography student in the USA, recently married to my best friend--also from Brazil. I love learning new things, and visiting new places. I also enjoy being able to communicate with people in their own language--whether Portuguese, Spanish or English. I could live off of mint chocolate chip ice cream. I could never live without the people I love.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know this church is true. I've read the Book of Mormon several times, and all those times I've prayed to know if that book really taught the word of God, I've gotten the same answer: it is true! Because the Book of Mormon is true, Joseph Smith must have been a true prophet after all, he translated the book by the power of God. If Joseph Smith was a true prophet, then it means the LDS Church is governed by the authority and power of God. I know all these things because I've read the scriptures, prayed about them, and sought to know the truth. I'm sure that whoever has the sincere desire to know if the Book of Mormon is true, they'll receive a true and sincere answer, too. This is why I'm a Mormon all the way I can't deny the Book of Mormon--and everything else that falls behind it--is true.

How I live my faith

I love serving other and sharing my talents within the Church. When I was little my parents encouraged me to learn how to play the piano so I could play hymns at Church meetings. When I was 11 years old my bishop called me to conduct the music in our ward during sacrament meetings. During the summers at the beach, I would do the same--or play the piano-- in the small congregation we used to attend. I'm grateful for the many opportunities I have had to bring the Spirit into the meetings through the power of inspiring music.
