Hi I'm Susan

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 41 year old mother of 5. I am currently attending Utah State University via distance education and will be applying to the Elementary Education program in February. I love to read all different kinds of books, I love to write letters, journals, and stories, I love music!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Latter Day Saint family and fortunate to have a mother who diligently tried to have Family Home Evening and who taught us to pray and gave us chores. I was blessed with a Father who was an valiant example of service and gratitude. I have prayed many times to know if the Book of Mormon is true and have received an undeniable witness that it is. The Church of Jesus Christ has brought me hope, comfort and peace. As a wife and mother I have been so thankful for the counsel of living prophets and answers to my questions through reading the scriptures.

How I live my faith

I am so lucky to be in the scouting program in the church. I plan activities for the 10 to 11 year old boys. I also play the piano for the choir and in our women's meetings. I love making new friends and deepening old friendships through Visiting Teaching.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Mormon women are like any other women. We have trials and challenges, times of joy and happiness. We like to spend time with family and friends. We study and work to become the best we can be. We pray for help and comfort, and try to help in our families, and communities any way we can. Mormons very much believe in equality between men and women. We strive to work together in parenting, chores and finances, and value one another's opinions. We support and help each other in reaching our goals and making our dreams a reality.
