Hi I'm Joanna

I love to cook, watch movies, and take longs walks on the beach. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Mathematics Education major hoping to teach high school math in three years. My favorite thing to do is play games with my family. I love to watch movies, go hiking, take a nap, and cook food. I hope to one day be married and start a family. My bucket list includes taking a trip to Europe and to never go skydiving. My dream would be to live in Disneyland.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because my parents are. I was raised in the church and growing up, I decided I liked the doctrine of the church. One of the things that kept me in this religion is that we teach our families are forever. This means that after my parents die, I will get to see them again. This doctrine is what solidified my testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My religion means everything to me, and without it I would be lost.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church on Sundays. I go to learn and grow spiritually. It is a time for me to leave the world behind and focus on the spiritual aspect of my life. I also go to Young Single Adult activities on Tuesdays. It is a place that young single adults in my area meet to mingle and play games together. It helps me get to know the people in my community and have fun. Sometime we do service activities together.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Joanna
We are asked to donate 10% of our income to the Church because God asked us to. We believe that since God gave us everything on this earth, that it is our duty to thank him by giving some back to him. The money we give, helps build our church buildings and temples. It was recently given to people in Haiti that suffered greatly from the natural disaster. By giving back to our church, it helps us spread the gospel to all nations so that everyone can know about the gospel we teach. Show more Show less
