Hi I'm Bradyn

I'm happily married with four little boys (almost five). I love college football. I enjoy working in my yard. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have been married for 11 years and have four little boys. We will have a fifth boy soon. The oldest is 10 and the youngest 3. As you might imagine home life can frequently be chaotic. I love sports, particularly college sports. I can flip on the TV and find a football or basketball game, no mattter who is playing, and sit down and thoroughly enjoy it. Yet I generally end up a little disappointed with the outcome because I like to cheer for the underdog. I have a bachelors degree in Spanish and a Masters in Intstructional Technology. I love learning and seeking truth. I especially love to learn about principles of freedom.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents who were Mormons, or in other words, members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. From a very young age they taught me that I am a son of a Heavenly Father who loves me dearly. They taught me to talk with Him in prayer. They took me to church and taught me about the Bible and the Book of Mormon. They taught me about prophets, especially the prophet Joseph Smith. As a child and youth, I enjoyed this. I sought to obey the teachings of our Savior, Jesus Christ and felt joy and peace in my life. I felt the power of the Holy Ghost confirming that what I was learning was true and that what I was doing was pleasing to God. As I have grown into adulthood and continued to seek the Lord through prayer and study, and obedience to His teachings, I have continued to recieve the witness from the Holy Ghost that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God, that the book of ancient scripture which he translated, the Book of Mormon, came from God, and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Church of Christ restored to the earth in our time.

How I live my faith

In my Church I have worked with the young men helping them to grow. We have camped together, played sports together, learned together, and worshipped God together. It is wonderful to see them mature and grow physically and spiritually. In our home we pray and study the scriptures regularly as a family. My wife and I seek to teach our children good values, to help them to love God, to love learning, to love their country and to do those things that will help to preserve freedom. Because I believe that God desires all to be free to choose how they will live their lives, I seek to be active in the political process.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Great question! I can see how people might think that we worship Joseph Smith because we speak of him so frequently. He was a prophet of God called to restore Christ's Church to the earth once more. Since a very young age I have felt a great love and appreciation for the prophet, Joseph Smith. As I have matured, I have appreciated more and more how his life, words, and teachings have led me to love and worship the Savior Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
