Hi I'm Matt

I have a beautiful wife, 4 crazy boys, and I love making people laugh. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a creative designer and business man who loves the outdoors, and loves fixing problems. I'm a very lucky husband, and father to 4 boys, who enjoy my enthusiasm for energy. Needless to say we have a busy house...but we love it! I'm very dedicated to my family, who give me the inspiration to work harder every day. I've realized that after all is said and done, the relationship you have with your loved ones is far more important than any career accomplishment.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon first and foremost because I prayed about it and I received confirmation from the Holy Ghost that the Church was true. Outside of that basic fact, I'm a Mormon because I believe that living by the precepts of the gospel brings joy into my life. If living the commandments and living this gospel daily made me miserable, I wouldn't do it. Thankfully I know that the joy and peace I have is a direct result of my obedience to gospel principles. That doesn't mean that my life is without struggles and frustrations, but when those do occur (and boy do they ever), I have a solid foundation from which to build on. I know that my Savior lives, and that because of His infinite sacrifice called the Atonement, I can return to live with Him, and my family when this life is over.

How I live my faith

Believe it or not, I put my shoes on one at a time: Seriously though, I live my faith by living my life. I can still go to the movies, hang out with friends, go places with my wife, go to work, shop, play football in the park, and go to church on Sunday, all while living the commandments. As one of our Prophets once counseled, "Be in the world, not of the world". Just because I participate in these activities, doesn't mean I have to be a hermit at the same time. It is possible for me to hang out without having a beer, or go the movies with my wife without seeing a rated R movie, or speak without swearing... As a Mormon I live life to the fullest, and I don't judge anyone when they try to do the same thing. I simply believe that my lifestyle and my faith lets me have more fun, because it's backed by the simple belief I have that my Heavenly Father will reward me for my obedience. I love interacting with other members of the Church, and non-members alike. My policy is that we will all meet each other again after this life, and if I was not very nice to you here, it will come back to me then. Lastly, I love living my life with something worth defending. Those same feelings of patriotism for my country which run through my veins, surface when I think about defending my religion, or the right to be religious period in this country. Dare I say that "in God we trust", and mean it!
