Hi I'm James

I'm a new father. I just started my career. I love other languages and cultures. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I finally finished my undergraduate degree this year and entered the work force. I work in finance for a large appliance manufacturing company in Michigan. My wife and I had our first child ( a beautiful baby girl) and then moved away from all of our family from the west to the midwest. We are definitely in a new chapter of our lives and we are loving this journey we call life.

Why I am a Mormon

There are several reasons why I am a Mormon. Like many members of this church I was born into a family where my parents were already members of the church. When I turned eight years old I was baptized and officially became a member of the church. As time went on my understanding and appreciation of the church grew. The truth is life happened. I went through school and found myself wanting to be happy like anyone else. I, like all people, also felt the desire to feel free from the weight I would feel after making mistakes. As I had been taught for years, I learned for myself that Jesus Christ was the only one who could heal a soul. My faith in Him has led me to change my life by small and large measures. Being a Mormon has taught me to be a better man, husband, and father.

How I live my faith

My faith is very much a part of who I am. On Sundays, I worship like many do by attending local church services and remembering Jesus Christ and his atoning sacrifice for me and all mankind. Additionally, my wife and I have been asked to teach a Sunday school class to 14-16 year old youth. We love this since we study scriptures and gospel principles together each week in preparation of our lessons. We always pray that as we share scriptural principles, and as they share their questions and experiences, that God's spirit can touch their lives, helping them find happiness during the difficult time of life they are in. During the week I work with wonderful people who belong to other faiths, but who believe in similar principles of honesty, hard work, and integrity. I believe God loves each of His children equally, from the late night janitor to the CEO of a large company. I try to show my faith by treating each person I meet with equal love and respect.
