Hi I'm David

I teach people to grow their own food. I am a Mormon

About Me

Hi, I am a convert to the church of 34 plus years. Married with a wonderful, large family. I'm a Science Teacher when not on mobilization with the Army. I like gardening of all kinds. Growing food at home is particularly satisfying. My goal is help others learn to grow food at home so they can become more self-reliant. I build computers was well as repair them. My family loves this! Playing games with the family is another thing I enjoy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Latter Day Saint because I have a Testimony of Christ and His Gospel. I know Joseph Smith was visited by God The Father and His Son Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit bore witness to my spirit that it is true. While investigating the Church many years ago, I thought that if the Book of Mormon was inspired by God and if the true church of Jesus Christ were once again on the earth with inspired and authorized leadership, what else mattered? I have since found that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only answer for all of the world's problems, including my own. During my life there have been a multitude of problems and challenges both personal and family. The Gospel has provided hope and blessings through these times. Knowing that Heavenly Father loves all of His Children and has sent His Son to Redeem us from the sins we repent of fills my heart with unspeakable joy and gives me confidence to face the future. I bear testimony to you that God the Father loves you and will answer your prayers if you are a sincere seeker of truth. Read the Book of Mormon and pray to know if it is of God or of a man. I promise you, in the name of Jesus Christ, that if you will read the book and pray sincerely, the Holy Spirit will impress you of its truthfulness. It will change your life. I bear this, my personal testimony in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

President Thomas S. Monson told the church during a conference session that if we would do three things, our lives would be blessed with increased spirituality and joy. They are Study the Scriptures consistently, Pray fervently, and keep the Commandments. As I have done this three things, the Holy Spirit seems to be closer than ever. I have felt greater peace of mind and true joy. Three things. Simple, but I believe they are the foundation for all else we may do while living on this earth. I live my faith by trying to be an obedient child of God. I am not perfect by any measure, but try to be, and that seems to be the difference in all of my efforts. I often feel like a little child whose hand is held by a loving Father. As the child will often stop to explore the ground around his little feet, his Father will patiently pull him along to continue the journey. I seem to stop too many times and become enthralled at every bright and shiny thing along my path in life. But as long as I allow Heavenly Father to hold my hand, He will continue to lead me along until my journey on Earth is complete and I arrive at my Heavenly Home to go no more out.
