Hi I'm Charles

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a convert to the Church since 1988 and the restored gospel of Jesus Christ is is so very important to me. Without the Peace that I have in my life provided by the atonement, my life would not be complete. We live in a troubling world and difficult time and having my Church Family near me is everything to me. I am a father of three and Grandfather of two and they give me much joy. I retired in 1999 and spend my time playing guitar, writing songs and lyrics and helping take care of my two Grandsons.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in other beliefs systems and although I learned a lot and found some meaning to my life by being a part of them, I still had questions that needed to be answered. I also was looking for that peace that passes all understanding, like most of us. When I was taught the Restored Gospel by two missionaries it all made sense and answered my questions. My life is a work in progress, and each day brings new challenges and trials but having the Holy Spirit to dwell with me as a comforter, guide and to give me personal revelation, makes this life fulfilling. I have a strong testimony of the Restored Gospel and I know that Jesus is the Christ and that through his sacrifice for our sins, we can return to our Heavenly Father, by living his commandants and keeping our Covenants.

How I live my faith

Belonging to The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints is a "Life-Style" and involves everything that I do. I hold a Church calling as a ward Librarian and attend Church on a regular basis. I enjoy my Home teachers and visits from members of our ward. We are Family. The Church is the same no matter where I go, different people, but the same Gospel and structure, and that is very comforting to me, in a world that is less than organized. There is freedom in the Gospel to realize your true potential and find meaning and purpose in this life as Heavenly Fathers Children. Families can be together for ever.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

As members of The Church, we believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and Saviour of the World: John 3:16. We also believe that he is the Messiah that was spoken of by prophets of old, Which means the Anointed One and that he is coming back soon and will establish his Kingdom here on earth. As members of His Church, That is called by his name, we recognize that he is the center of our beliefs and the Only begotten of our Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
