Hi I'm Palesa Mangwegape

I am a South African, in my final year of varsity..studying Social Sciences. I am a happy and proud Mormon.

About Me

Well I'm a high spirited young lady who loves reading, I'm pursuing my studies and doing a very interesting course on Human and Social Phenomena. That choice was inspired by my desire of interacting with people, understanding how humans interact with one another. I enjoy listening to good music, sharing the gospel and spending time with family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was confirmed a Member of the Church on November the 12th 2006, along with my Mother and my Sister. I gained a Testimony of the Gospel during the time i was investigating, attending all the necessary meetings held, and what helped to seal My Testimony is The Book of Mormon. I took time out to read and I have been studying it till this day. the feeling that accompanied me during that time and which still does today is amazing, i can stand bodly and profess the Gospel to be true. nobody told this or foced me into this I found out for myself and its the best decision I have ever made, I dont have any regrets. The Gospel is true, when you take time out to live it you will enjoy the Heavenly Blessings that come. I know this to be true.

How I live my faith

I strive to be the best I possibly can be, with the help I receive from Our Father above. and one of the essential ways of doing this is rendering my services to others, we receive callings at Church to strengthen one another, my current calling is Second Councillor in the young women, one can not teach or proclaim something they do not live or apply in their life, in order to reach my class members I have to live what i teach so that the Holy Ghost can work effectively. I do not only teach but I leave room for learning from my class members aswell, for I understand tha we are all students in this. living my life in such a way that permits me to enjoy the blessing of having the Holy Ghost as my constant companion is wisdom to me, knowing that i can not do anything by my own strength, including reaching out to others and sharing the Gospel with them.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Palesa Mangwegape
absolutely not, one of our primary goals is to render our services to evryone whether Mormon or not, we can not proclaim that we are members of the Church of Jesus Christ and not follow his example. when Jesus was in the Earth His whole ministry was vicarious, meaning everything He did, He did for others. We as Mormons strive to live by His examples, including helping others. we are not selfish with our gospel hence we have Missionaries all over the world proclaiming the Gospel. our favourite phrase should be "Is there anything i can help you with"? because thats what we intend to do, note that the aobve phrase applies to people at large not a limited group of people, so NO! our means of service does not rest within the boundries of our religion.
