Hi I'm Amanda

I grew up in California. I'm an Athletic Trainer. I love it! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love anything outdoors especially sports. I especially love baseball. I'm getting my masters degree right now in Athletic Training. I've always loved talking to people and lived in the Philippines for a year and a half talking to others about the LDS beliefs and serving them.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in California with great friends and a great family. I had many experiences that forced me to choose who I wanted to be in life and what I wanted to do. I was blessed with many people in my life who taught me what choices lead to happiness and how to apply the atonement of Jesus Christ in my life. I decided to follow these things and I felt the truthfulness of what was taught. I eventually prayed to know for myself to know which church was true and I received an answer. There's no doubt in my life that the LDS church is the only true church here on earth. I know this because I've applied the teachings in my life and it's the only thing that allows me to truly be happy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to love and serve those around me. I seek to help others around me in my work environment and in school. I love to learn from them and try to become a better person through others' examples.

Where did Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints begin?

It began with a boy named Joseph Smith asking which church he should join. He received his answer by God and Jesus Christ appearing to him and telling him that none of the churches were true. He was eventually called as a prophet and given the authority to do so. Through that authority and under direction of God he re-established Christ's true church here on earth. Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

If you want to know if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true then you need to pray about it for yourself. Our Heavenly Father listens to and answers every sincere prayer. Another way to know is by living the principles taught in church and you will gain a testimony through that. I always strived to follow the things that were taught in church and knew that they were righteous principles to live by when I followed them. I also felt the sorrow when I wasn't living these principles. This wasn't enough for me however as I eventually needed to pray about the church for myself. I knelt down one day and prayed to know if Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and if the one and only true church had been restored through him. I also prayed to know if the Book of Mormon is true. I was overwhelmed by a peaceful feeling telling me that all these things were true. I now know in my heart that this is the only true church on earth. You can know too! Show more Show less
