Hi I'm Tracey

I am married, a mum of two, I love music and I am a 'Mormon'.

About Me

I am married to the love of my life and we have 2 beautiful daughters. Before having children I was working as a receptionist for a company specialising in Vocational Rehabilitation. I've always loved children and wanted to be a mum for as long as I can remember. Being at home with my daughters each day is challenging, but it is a joy and something I wouldn't change for the world. I love music and literature. I believe that the best things in life aren't things. I am loving life!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a 3rd generation member on both sides of my family. My grandparents were taught and accepted the gospel, who taught my parents, who taught me. I am so blessed that I have always had the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. I have an undeniable testimony of my Saviour and His church. Even though I've been taught the gospel throughout my life I still had to pray to know for myself that the teachings of the church are indeed true. I have felt a witness of a divinity of this work over and over again as I have attended meetings and conferences and listened to the messages that were being given. I've felt the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ as I've knelt in prayer to my Heavenly Father. I live my faith because I love my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and I want to live a life that thanks them for all that they have given me.

How I live my faith

I have often had the thought that my religion is more than just where I go to church and more than just a thing to do on a Sunday. It is who I am and how I live my life. I'm certainly not perfect, but I want everything I say and all my actions to please my Father in Heaven. The principles of the Gospel that seem so strange to my 'non-member' friends are such an integral part of who I am that I don't really think about it. It makes me happy when I have an opportunity to help someone who needs it. I am disappointed with myself when I do something that hurts another person or displeases the Lord. I try to be the person that the Lord wants me to be, and ultimately that is what makes me happy with the person I am. I also have the opportunity on Sundays and throughout the week to work in the women's organisation called Relief Society. Doing this has given me a great opportunity to grow as I have needed to step outside of my comfort zone. Sometimes I have to teach or conduct meetings. I love the opportunity this has given me to get to know the women that I work with and those whom we are there to serve.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

No!!! Joseph Smith was the Prophet of the restoration. He was called of God just like Moses, Abraham and other prophets of the Old and New testament. He was the person chosen by the Lord to do His work. We honour Joseph Smith but the focus of our worship is Jesus Christ, our Saviour and Redeemer. Show more Show less
