Hi I'm Jason

I'm a Mormon. I study biology. I want to be a dentist. I love life.

About Me

I'm a student studying physiology and developmental biology in college. I am heavily involved in biological research and enjoy studying evolution and human development. I am happily married to my beautiful wife. I am currently in dental school. In my free time the little I have away from school, and work I enjoy hiking, biking, skiing, talking with my wife, and doing anything outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I try my best everyday to be a little better. One of the most amazing things about the Gospel of Jesus Christ is that we can continually improve ourselves. I have days where I take minor or major steps back, but that is not where I have to stay. The power of my faith is the power to move forward. I cannot imagine where I would be without the support of my faith in Jesus Christ and His influence. I try my best to help others. I try my best to improve my attitude and lifestyle. I try my best to keep near to God. I try to do all these things and live my faith. Jesus Christ turns my trying into actual doing. Why is being a Mormon important to this? I have found that the fullness of the Gospel is in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have found this by prayer and by countless experiences. The fullness matters to me because it gives me all of the tools necessary to progress. It allows me to know my Heavenly Father and understand who I am praying to. I am a Mormon because it gives me all the tools I need to move forward with the Lord's help.

How I live my faith

I teach lessons each Sunday to adults in Sunday School. I go to church every Sunday. I read my scriptures. I try my best to become better everyday.

What are some things that tell to you there is a God?

As a science major I study one of the main areas that tends to lead people away from God. However, in my case science confirms my belief in a God. The more I learn about every aspect of science the more I come to know the creator. The order in the laws of nature, and the development of every creature points to a God that is organized and loving. This is not the only thing that tells me that there is a God. Anyone who is involved in science knows the importance of a good experiment. I have performed many "experiments" to see if there is a God. The two main experiments were prayer and conduct. Prayer showed me that there was a God because I felt peace when I prayed. My conduct helped me discover God because of the feelings I had after my actions. If I did those things that were good I felt a peaceful, comforting, and warming feeling. If I did those things that were perhaps accepted by society but not pleasing to God I felt confused, alone, and cold. Through the textbooks and my personal experiments, I can tell anyone that there is a God and that He is a loving God. Show more Show less
