Hi I'm Richelle

I grew up in Alberta Canada, I moved to Utah to attend University and the rest is history! I'm still here, AND- I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am originally from Alberta, Canada-- but moved to Utah to go to University 18 years ago, and have lived here ever since!! I am so blessed to be the wife of an amazing husband, and mother to four beautiful children. When I am not playing chauffeur-- running kids from swim team practices to piano lessons to volleyball and soccer practices, I love to read a good book or play the piano. I love to spend time with friends and family, and enjoy travelling to see the beautiful sights of the world!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it gives purpose and meaning to my life. I have a testimony that in 1820, a young boy named Joseph Smith was confused about which of all the churches he should join. As he was reading the Bible-- he came across a scripture in James: "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not and it shall be given him." He decided to follow that counsel and ask God. I believe that through the prophet Joseph Smith the Gospel of Jesus Christ was restored to the earth. I believe this because I, too, have asked of God. I have read the scriptures and have asked to know for myself that they are true. I know that I am a daughter of a Heavenly Father who loves me. I know that He has a plan for each of His children. I know that families are eternal, and am so grateful to know that I can be with mine FOREVER. I can't imagine it any other way! This gospel is our Heavenly Father's plan of Happiness for all of His children.

How I live my faith

I'm always amazed that our church functions strictly on a volunteer basis. None of our clergy are paid. Everyone freely gives of their time and talents and that's how it works so well! I've been fortunate to participate in my church in several different areas. My first calling came when I was 14 years old. I was called to be a Ward Organist. I have since held that same calling many times! I really enjoy doing this and feel as though I'm helping to bring all to a unity of faith through music. I also have been blessed to work with the young children in the church-- whom I adore so much. I know, through the scriptures, how much Jesus Christ loves the little children. I get a feeling of just how special they are when I am with them on Sundays! They are awesome! I love to give service wherever I can. I'm not always the best woman for the job that I'm asked to do in the Church, but have learned that when I have faith, and do my best...I am able to fulfill and magnify the callings that I am given.
