Hi I'm Jennifer

I'm a Mom and I'm Mormon.

About Me

I'm 30 yrs. old and a mom to 3 little boys. I have a bachelor's degree in Communication, but I currently stay at home to raise my boys. I love to garden, organize, decorate, bargain shop, and take pictures in my spare time. I love learning. Especially about politics, and current events. I'm a news junkie. I also love to travel and a beach is my favorite place to be.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but I continue to follow his gospel because I know that it brings me and my family happiness. I know it is true because of the way the spirit touches me when I hear gospel truths. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God and that his apostles are disciples of Christ. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and restored the true gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth. I know that because of Jesus Christ, I can be resurrected and live again. I know that our temples are the house of the Lord and because of the covenants I make within their wall, my family is an eternal family and I will be with them forever. Nothing brings me more joy and happiness than knowing these things.

How I live my faith

I serve in my church as the leader over the children ages 18 mos.- 11 yrs. old of our ward. I'm responsible for teaching them each Sunday and organizing quarterly activities. It is very busy and a huge responsibility, but I can honestly say I enjoy it very much! I also help at my son's elementary when I can.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Our Heavenly Father has given us everything. All he asks from us is 10% in order to help with the building up of the church. This money is called a tithe and is used for building temples, church buildings, and running the wards. Some of these funds are also used to help with our humanitarian efforts around the world and in our own neighborhoods. It's a small offering compared to the many blessings we receive from paying it. I have had many examples through out my life of the blessings that come from paying tithing. Show more Show less
