Hi I'm Scott

I'm a runner, a rock climber, a snowboarder, a soccer coach, an accountant and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I studied accounting and Finance in college and I’m now an accountant for a software company. When I’m not working, I enjoy getting outdoors and spending time with my family. I like running, hiking, rock climbing, snowboarding, camping, and traveling. I am a step-father and just finished coaching my step-son's scoccer team. I enjoy volunteering and my most recent project was helping to organize a Marathon to raise money for a local girl who has cancer. The race was a great sucess.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe in God. I know he wants me to be happy. The Mormon Church helps me live my life in a way that makes me feel at peace and happy with the person I am. I’ve also read the Book of Mormon and through study and prayer have come to know that it is a true book.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday and try to help out where I am needed. I currently teach a Sunday School class of 12 year-old kids. I also try to be a good example to my friends, co-workers, and in the community.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

We believe that we are saved by grace. We also believe that we need to follow Heavenly Father's Commandments. We are not perfect. We make mistakes and because of that we are dependent on grace to return to Heavenly Father. Jesus Christ already paid for our sins. He asks that we sincerely repent and follow him. We try to follow the example of Jesus Christ and when we make mistakes, we repent. It is through grace that we are saved after all we can do. Show more Show less
