Hi I'm Angela

I like reading, dancing, learning, teaching, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to create. I love to serve! I enjoy stretching my mind and believe in lifelong learning. I like being with teenagers. I like finding things that inspire me or make me laugh. I like to be spontaneous. People watching is fun! So are pillow fights and trying new food! Some of my favorite moments are dancing in the living room with kids and hubby or singing my daughter to sleep.

Why I am a Mormon

There have been many points in my life where I could have chosen to give up the faith I was raised in. Why not throw in the towel? It can be hard to consistently try to live Christ's teachings, and at times I have had my doubts. Sometimes it feels too hard. Sometimes I have questions that aren't answered right away. Sometimes I feel alone, misunderstood, or mocked in my beliefs and standards. Sometimes it feels like it would be easier to not try. At each of those turning points, I have chosen to continue forward and to further clarify my own testimony. I have found that as I seek for genuine light and truth, I can find it. Simply, I cannot deny what I have felt. The spirit has flowed through me with comfort, light, and love. I can't deny it. I have also discovered over and over that the gospel of Jesus Christ really supplies the answers to life's questions. I am happier, more content, inwardly at peace, and grounded to a solid Anchor when I earnestly try to follow Christ and His teachings. I feel happiest when I am true to the goodness and light that I feel from the gospel's teachings. It is the only constant in this crazy ever-changing world. I know I can count on it.

How I live my faith

I enjoy getting the chance to be with the young women in our congregation. I appreciate their vitality and insights! It's also really neat to try and provide opportunities for them to feel the warmth of our Heavenly Father's love and His guiding hand. I try my best to be aware of the needs that others may have, at church, in my community, and especially within my own little family. Whether it's holding a door open for someone at the mall, helping at the food bank, coming to the hospital to be with a neighbor's sick child, or providing healthy meals for my family, I try to be attentive to how I might offer a hand. I find it fulfilling to see others' lives eased and brightened just a little bit more. I also make an effort to try and connect with My Father each day through prayer and reading the scriptures or general conference talks from our latter-day prophets. When I am consistently reminded of my divine worth and of my Father who loves me, it is easier to face the challenges of the day and to try my best to help others out too.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

By trying out and living the things He taught. Well, not just trying them, but trying them sincerely, with an open heart and mind. It also helps to study and find out more about who He is, so we can know what and who to believe IN. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

We definitely believe in the Bible, in both the Old and New Testaments! We also believe in the Book of Mormon, another Testament to the reality of Christ. We also believe in the Doctrine and Covenants and The Pearl of Great Price. Show more Show less
