Hi I'm Sam

I have grown up in the South-East of England and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 23 years old and I think my life is great! I am happily married and have a son. I work as an accounts assistant in a finance department for a well known and established insulation company. I am also studying towards my AAT qualification and I plan to study CIMA in the near future. I have served as a missionary for the church and have been active in the Mormon faith since I was 17 years old.

Why I am a Mormon

At the age of 17 I started to ponder some deep questions about life. I wanted to know "if there was a God", and "if there was life after death". Soon after pondering these questions I came across the Book of Mormon. After reading from the Book of Mormon and attending the Churches Sunday services I came to know the answers which I was searching for.

How I live my faith

I love to get involved where ever I can. I love the doctrine of the church and spend alot of my time searching the scriptures, including words from the modern day Prophets, and apply what I learn to better myself, my family and to draw closer to God. I also have responsibility over the local church that I attend, which keeps me active in the Mormon faith.

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Sam
As it is a commandment from God. Our bodies are gifts from God and He has given us a law of health named the "Word of Wisdom" to keep our bodies in a healthy and well preserved state. Living the Word of Wisdom has lead me to feel closing to my God and more like His son Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
