Hi I'm Susan

I'm a southern girl who loves seafood, being a mother to my four sons & being married to a wonderful country boy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My greatest joy and happiness is in helping others. I'm blessed to be a mom of four boys. I enjoy photography and have trained professionally to develop in that art. I think of photography as a gift that I can give to others to create timeless treasured memories. I'm married to a very sweet country boy. He's hard working and perfect for me even though we are different. He's strong, meek, quiet & kind, and I'm weak physically (because I have fibromyalgia) and very outgoing, and expressive. Because I am sick much of the time, my husband & sons are a big help to me. I think that's why the Lord gave us so many strong sons! I've had fibromyalgia for over 25 years. It can be very debilitating at times, but I always strive to look for the rainbows, because I know if I look for them, I'll find them! It's a challenge sometimes to be optimistic, but faith is like a seed, and if we plant it & nurture it, it will grow. I've learned that truth. I also know that Heavenly Father is always there for us. If we look to Him, we will feel His love for us and His direction in our lives. The gospel is the passport to peace, hope & love in this life and the life hereafter. Is is such a blessing to know that God lives and loves us.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because through The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I have learned the answers to life's important questions. "Why am I here? Where did I come from? What is the purpose of my life, and where am I going when I leave?" I know that this is where Heavenly Father wants me to be. I know that my children have been blessed by their membership in this church more than I could ever have imagined. I love the gospel, and I love the Lord. I always want to please my Heavenly Father and this church has shown me how. Also, the gospel in its fullness was restored to the earth through the prophet Joseph Smith. The Book of Mormon is true along with the Bible, and they both bless my life immeasurably. I'm grateful to be a Mormon. My life has meaning and purpose and a fullness of joy as I come to know my Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. This church allows me to do so and I LOVE IT.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be like the Savior. I love learning about Him. I also love uplifting and inspiring music and videos & books. I try to fill my life with things that I feel would bring me closer to the Savior, and I try to avoid things that I feel would detract from that goal. I feel so much happier when I avoid negativity and judgments about other people and focus on serving others and loving them instead. I read the scriptures everyday, because through them I feel the love of my Heavenly Father flowing into my life and helping me to love and serve others and meet the challenges and tasks that I have each day. I also love attending church, because it enlivens me and I feel like the Lord speaks to me when I place myself in places that allow Him to do so. It's so important to pray, because it opens up the channels of revelation in our own lives and helps us to see things clearly and purifies our lives. Jesus prayed, and I want to be like Him. I feel the strength of my Heavenly Father when I do. I would extend an invitation to everyone to pray to our Heavenly Father and ask Him if He is real! If you do this with a humble, loving and meek heart, you can find out the truth - THAT HE IS REAL and full of LOVE FOR YOU! You'll find out for yourself that it's true. I also welcome the missionaries in my home. They answer questions and teach about Heavenly Father's Plan. It's wonderful. Feeling the Lord's spirit is the best thing ever and brings so much happiness into our lives!
