Hi I'm Jason Alan Eggers

I'm a husband, a father, a son, a brother, a friend ...and above all, a disciple of Christ. And you guessed it -- I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hiking, biking, snowboarding, and traveling are some of the activities that have recently been replaced with chasing our 3 little kids around and watching them learn and grow. And you know what-- I wouldn't have it any other way! They bring so much joy and love to me and my wife, and we are enjoying this stage of life and all the experiences that comes along with it.

Why I am a Mormon

The example and faith of loving parents are among the main reasons why I enjoy the blessings that come from my membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. But my testimony is my own. I know that Christ is real. I have felt a spiritual witness, on countless occasions, that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is real and has been restored. His love is for everyone, and His love can help and grow everyone, if we let Him into our lives. Personally, I know that the truths that I learn from the scriptures, church meetings, and the Holy Spirit are essential to my happiness. In fact, I honestly feel that anything about my character that is good, decent, or of any lasting value can be directly attributed to my faith, my relationship with God, and my membership in this church. Likewise, I have seen a direct correlation between pain and hardship caused from weaknesses/faults, during times of straying from these core values and commitments, or during times of struggling to do/be my best. I am far from perfect, but it is my simple faith that God is perfect, and that he loves me and will always be there for me. I'm happiest when I stay close to my religion, because I've found that being a Mormon is a wonderful way for to stay close to God to feel his influence and love in my life.

How I live my faith

I try to be good, honest, and kind. I try to be consistent with my commitments, covenants, and true character as a child of God. I try to live worthy of the Holy Spirit, so I may be guided to say and do what Heavenly Father would have me say and do. I hope to learn to see and love people the way He sees and loves them. I strive to do my part to help my family, friends, and neighbors realize the joy that only comes as we actualize our true potential as children of God through faith in Jesus Christ.

What is being a Mormon like?

Jason Alan Eggers
To me, being a member of the Mormon Church feels like coming home. There is a comfort and security that comes with belonging to this church. You feel cared for, loved, and needed. And I believe this organization is the most perfect place, outside of the family organization itself, to experience, love, forgiveness, repentance, patience, service, family values, ethics, and hard work. The local congregation of the church is called a 'Ward' but I've always referred to the members of my Ward as my 'Ward Family.' Show more Show less
