Hi I'm Mark

I'm a Mormon, and have been all my life.

About Me

I grew up in Salt Lake City, where much of my family still lives, but I have been in Florida for almost 30 years now. I love the sun all year long and I love the ocean. I'm a dad and a grandpa, with 5 children and 7 grandchildren (and two more grandchildren on the way !).

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because the Spirit of God has born personal witness to me of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the mission of Joseph Smith to restore the fullness of that Gospel. I know and testify without doubt that Jesus Christ lives today and stands at the head of this Church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in my everyday life so that others will see the incredible joy the gospel of Jesus Christ brings into my. I have have many opportunities to be an instructor over the years and currently I am involved in helping others research and record their family history.

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

Mark
Measured by the standards of today's society, I have a large family with 5 children and 7 grandchildren. My wife and I view our marriage as a partnership, with each of us being an equal partner. I'm smart enough to maintain publicly that she is the "better half" !!!!. We treat our marriage the way the Lord intended it to be with each of pulling our weight as an evenly yoked pair. There is no superiority in the relationship, and each of us is incomplete without the other. We both have different roles in the family, with my wife being the primary nurturer of us all and my primary responsibility the support of the family but all roles and tasks are shared between us. Our children know that their parents are united on all questions that arise. Our view of the role of husband and wife is simple-each is incomplete without the other and we are as one in our purpose. Sharing a deep belief in the gospel of Jesus Christ helps make this unity possible. Show more Show less
