Hi I'm Danny

I love the outdoors and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently in my fourth semester of college, and enjoying learning new things. I love to play and watch sports. I also love to run and ride my mountain bike. Music is a big part of my life whether I'm participating in it, or just listening to it, I love music. I love my family more than anything in the world. I am the second oldest of six kids and love to spend time with my wonderful siblings.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all my life, but that is not why I continue to be a member. I believe with all my heart that this church is the church of Jesus Christ. I believe He is at the head of the church, and that he uses prophets, just as he did in biblical times, to teach, instruct, warn, and lead us. I know that Jesus Christ is our savior and the only way to return and live with our Heavenly Father again. I know these things because of the witness I have received from the Holy Ghost (John 14:26, 1 Cor. 2). I also know that anyone with a sincere heart can know for themselves whether or not things things are true through their own diligent study and prayer. God will answer. Besides the fact that I believe this to be Christ's church, I have seen the positive effect the church has had in my life. Even if I didn't think it was true the quality of life that results from living the standards and teachings of the church can't be found anywhere else. I'm grateful for the work the church does to support and strengthen the family. I'm grateful for the work the church does to spread the truth throughout the world. These are the works of Christ. I want to return and live with my family in Heaven. I firmly believe I can do so because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and what he has taught us through His church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I'm part of a congregation that consists completely of college students. We call this a college ward. One of my responsibilities as a member is to do home teaching. I've been assigned a home teaching companion and 4 people in the ward that my companion and I are responsible for. We meet with them at least once a month, get to know them, serve them, and provide a spiritual message. Home teaching is a blessing in my life because it gives me an opportunity to serve others and make friends. Home teaching is one way I live my faith other than going to church each week.
