Hi I'm Jeff

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently working on my Masters in Social Work. I love the Utah Jazz and follow the rest of the NBA. I play the Tuba for the Utah Wind Symphony and Orchestra at Temple Square with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. The craziest thing I've done is bungee jump! It was extremely scary for me! I have been married for 1 year to my wife who is working on elementary education. I am the co-president of my college chess team and compete nationally.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by wonderful parents, but didn't truly understand the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ until I was volunteering as a missionary in New York. As I watch dozens of lives changed by testimonies of the Living God, and by the powerful truth's in the Holy Bible and Book of Mormon, I decided then that I was involved in something that changed me faster and fuller than any activity up to that point in my life. I have found true enriching peace being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

Jesus Christ is the center of all that we do. As I've read and learned of Him, I've come to believe that true happiness and fulfillment come as one earnestly strives to follow the example of the Savior. When we try to live and love as he did, the beauty of life unfolds before you. Nothing is more important than following His perfect example.

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

When Christ walked the earth he called twelve Apostles. He laid his hands on each of their heads, giving them authority to preach the gospel and administer in the ordinances. The Lord has always called Prophets and Apostles to teach His people His ways. While there may be some to distort and change His doctrine, only His chosen leaders may act under the Authority of God to bring about His true purposes. Show more Show less

Who are the Mormons?

Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have also been known as Mormons. Mormon was a Prophet who lived in the America's in 400 A.D. The Lord gave Mormon the responsibilities of abridging and organizing all of his and other ancient writings by Prophets before him, and completed a record now called, "The Book of Mormon."
