Hi I'm Travis

I live in Georgia and I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

About Me

I am a happy husband to my wonderful wife Kristen and our 7 beautiful kids. I was raised on a farm in Idaho, but have lived in New York, Alabama, Georgia, Colorado, Ohio, and Illinois. I spend some time in the military flying helicopters for the Army and have since worked in the business world.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as the son of a father who was an inactive member and a non-member mother. My early years were not spent immersed in the church. My parents were good people, but did not attend church. When I was about 8 years old, my parents were taught by the missionaries and I was baptized with my mom and sister. I am a member of this church because I know its doctrine is true. The members...including myself have many flaws and are no perfect, but the revelations of this restored church are perfect. They make sense to me, but more than that, I have been given many confirmations of its truth by the Holy Ghost. That's not something I can or will deny. So I choose to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am a ward mission leader, which means I get to spend a lot of time with the missionaries...the guys who ride around on bikes in white shirts and ties with name tags. I try not to miss church and I try to teach my family correct principles. We are happier for this. The Lord rains down blessings on me so much that I cannot begin to describe. I am very very thankful to be a member of this church.
