Hi I'm Roger

I'm a Mormon and I love it.

About Me

I am a husband and a father of four. I am an engineer. I love spending time in the outdoors hiking, camping, canoeing, skiing and snowshoeing.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 21, missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints taught me about God's love for His children. I knew that God spoke to His children anciently through prophets so when the missionaries taught me about prophets of God on the earth today, I believed them. Since my conversion more than 20 years ago, I have come to know more about Jesus Christ and His central role in God's plan. He is indeed the Savior and Redeemer of the world.

How I live my faith

I find great joy by providing service including teaching others more about the the Savior, visiting those who need help and teaching children and youth. Each morning I take time to pray and study the scriptures. This provides me guidance and direction for my day.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

We are all sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father. As our father, Heavenly Father wants each of us to live with Him for eternity. However, because each of us make mistakes and "come short of the glory of God" there needs to be someone with the power and ability to bridge the gap between us and Heavenly Father. Jesus Christ willingly served in this role. Jesus Christ took upon Himself all of our sins and weaknesses so that we could have the opportunity to live with Heavenly Father forever and enjoy eternal happiness. Show more Show less
