Hi I'm Kevin

I'm a twin!! I grew up in New Hampshire. I am a High School State Wrestling Champion. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I grew up in a small town in New Hampshire. I currently go to school in Idaho. For my job, I help people do their food storage to prepare for emergencies or disasters. I love sports! When I was in High school, I was a state champion wrestler and a football player. I am Just as excited about music especially singing. I was an All-state tenor my senior year. Since then I served a 2 year mission to scotland which was one of the best experiences of my life. Probably the most but at the same time the least unique thing about me is that I have an identical twin brother!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church because, lucky enough for me, both of my parents were also members of the church. The biggest reason I also decided to become a member of this church is because I have had my own personal experiences that have given me assurances that Jesus is the Christ and that this is his RESTORED church. There is never a need to doubt something when the source of knowledge is God. For me, this is the case. I do not need to put my trust in man, because I have put my trust in God, and I know he has led me down the path of a wondefully happy life!

How I live my faith

I am priveleged to have the opportunity to do service in the temple once a week to participate and help facilitate the work that goes on there. I am also very involved in helping the local missionaries to teach people about our church!

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

Kevin
One of the most important things we teach people is that because the authority to perform saving ordinances such as baptism was restored when the church, that one must be baptized by those who hold such authority which we call the priesthood. Baptism is a covenant, or a promise that we make with God that we will follow him and do our best to do all that he has asked of us. In return we are cleansed of sin and are given the constant companionship of the holy spirit as long as we remain worthy of it. Show more Show less

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Kevin
To find those who are seeking truth and happiness, and helping those people to know how to find it! Show more Show less

Who was Joseph Smith?

Kevin
Joseph Smith was called to be a prophet in these last days, much like Moses or Abraham in days of old! in the early 1800's Joseph Smith saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and was given the priesthood, or the power and authority to teach the people and perform the ordinances necessary to return to live with God again some day. How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

Kevin
Every single missionary in the world saves up his or her own money to go on a mission! I was a missionary and for me it was $400 a month, or approximately 10,000. What happens from there is all that money is put into one large fund and it is divided according to how much a single missionary would need for the area they are serving in. Show more Show less
