Hi I'm Brent

I am happily married and have five amazing children who call me dad. I teach religion for the L.D.S. Church. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father of 5 children. I teach high school aged youth. I love studying the scriptures and being outdoors where I enjoy observing nature, cycling, and playing tennis.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the mormon faith, and from an early age, I gained a strong personal witness of Jesus Christ and Joseph Smith. As I have read the Book of Mormon several times, the Holy Ghost has impressed upon my mind and heart its truth. This knowledge has been an anchor to my life and an anchor to Jesus Christ. My parents have raised me to do what I know is right and I have strived to follow their example. While serving a full-time mission for the LDS church in Canada, I became more converted to my faith as I saw others have the same experience that I did. It was an exciting time for me. I loved sharing the message of Christ and watching it change their life.

How I live my faith

I love serving others in my church and community. My son and I have volunteered several times at a local charitable retail store. It is rewarding to assist others in need. I currently serve in a leadership position of our congregation and feel a trust from the members that gives me a greater desire to be a follower of Jesus Christ. I also enjoy teaching youth as a full time religion instuctor for the mormon faith. This has been a high light in my life, as I love to see youth gain their own witness of what is true in the scriptures and words of the prophets. One of my favorite scriptures is John 7:17 "If any man will do His will he shall know of the doctrine; whether it be of God or whether I speak of myself." This helps me to be know that when I do the Lord's will, I will know its truth." This applies to me when I am serving/assisting others. I then know for myself that I am doing what Christ would do.
