Hi I'm Nathan

I am a happy husband of a beautiful wife, and proud father of three. I'm a financial advisor and entrepreneur. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Both of my parents are converts to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. My father, a baptist, and my mother, a devout Catholic were converted and baptized into the LDS church in Texas and were later married for eternity in the Los Angeles LDS temple while pregnant with me and my twin brother. I grew up with a love for the beach, music, sports and the gospel of Jesus Christ. After moving several times and attending multiple grade schools, we finally landed in beautiful Austin, Texas which I've called home for the last 15 years. At age 19 I left my home and family to serve a full-time mission for the church in Colorado. On my mission I experienced first hand the miracles and blessings the gospel of Jesus Christ brings to families and individuals, including myself. Shortly after my mission I was introduced to my beautiful wife through the instrumentality of my mother and my wife's aunt (a blind date) and very soon fell in love. We were married quickly as we both just didn't see much need for 'prolonging the inevitable'. We now enjoy three gorgeous kids (2 girls and a boy) and enjoy traveling, boating, bike riding and pretty much anything we can do together. I've played in several bands throughout the years (rhythm guitar and vocals) and have enjoyed writing my own music. I really enjoy good music! I am an independent financial advisor and entrepreneur specializing in retirement planning and insurance marketing.

Why I am a Mormon

I've learned by experience that genuine, lasting happiness comes from living true principle of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon because I believe those principles are dispensed in their fullness by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

My favorite way to live the gospel is to spend time with my family. I believe the Lord wants all of his children to be happy and enjoy loving relationships, and it should start with the family. Whether we're spending time on the lake, riding our bikes, or reading together, we know we are following the Lord's command to strengthen our family. As a member of the church I've been given many opportunities to serve and teach others. I enjoy serving as a home teacher where I get to cultivate friendships with members of the church through monthly visits, gospel-centered lessons and service.

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

I believe that when we have faith in Christ, we trust Him and follow His teachings. Jesus taught that we should love and serve each other. I don't know of any better recipe for a strong marriage and family than to have love and be actively engaged in making life better for one another. This goes, really, for any relationship.
