Hi I'm Jeaneen

I was born in Iowa. I grew up in Iowa. I served a mission in Iowa. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I got married March 26th, 2010. So I am a newlywed still. I love to spend time with my family. I have three brothers and one sister. I am the oldest. I love to camp, write, and take pictures, sing, dance, play board games, watch movies, and read. I've tried snow skiing, water skiing, and river rafting at least once. I have an associate’s degree and am still trying to decide what to do next. I have a dream to write a book someday.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon but that isn't why I am a Mormon. When I was eight years old I was given the choice to get baptized. At eight years old I remember being very aware of right and wrong. I knew that baptism was important in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. At eight years old I knew that Jesus Christ died for me and that Joseph Smith was a prophet. So I made the decision and was baptized. But it wasn't until I was sixteen that I truly knew for certain that God knew and loved me. I went to an especially for Youth program at BYU and was given the time to pray and know for myself that I was a child of God. With such a simple prayer and with an open heart I felt loving warmth surround me. It wasn't on the outside but on the inside. I knew for certain that God loved me and knew who I was. With that my knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ grew. My surety of the gospel increased and as I have lived the gospel of Jesus Christ I have felt that same warm feeling surround me. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true gospel of Jesus Christ!

How I live my faith

I am helping our Branch of the Church teach the young girls between 9 years and 11 years old. We do activities two times a week focusing on Jesus Christ, serving, and building experiences of faith. It's an awesome program for the girls and I am learning each day as we work together. It's a Spanish speaking Branch and I only speak english so it's sometimes difficult but we manage to still work together. It's an awesome experience.
