Hi I'm Glenn Davis

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being outdoors. I volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America and camp with the Boys as often as possible. I am a Amateur Radio Operator. I like to challege myself by doing things like rappelling, white water rafting, caving, hiking, and snow skiing. I am a proud Father of three beautiful daughters and husband to a wonderful woman who is my best friend of 26 years. I run a auto detailing shop for a new car dealership.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church as a child and as I grew up one day I decided I needed to find out for myself if I was Mormon because I was raised that way or was it because I believed it was the true church. I prayed about it and was prompted by the spirit to not ask again if the church was true until I read the book of Mormon front to back. I took the challenge and as I started to read the book I couldn't put it down. I am a slow reader but in two weeks I finished it and knelt down again for an answer. The answer I got was a voice in my mind that said " you have always known it is true." I couldn't deny it. I had always known the book of Mormon was true and if it were true so was the restored gospel now here on earth known as The church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have been a member of the church for over 40 years now and can testify of its truth. Don't ask others what they think, simply take the test and read and pray for an answer for yourself. The church has been such a blessing in my life. It guides me to be the best I can be at all times and to try and wake up each morning and be a little better each day. It challenges me to emulate Christ example. I usually fail to live up to his standards but the gospel helps me try and keeps me motivated to fight against the temptations of the world we now live in. I love my fellow members and they are like a family to me. No matter were I travel or visit the church is the same. We don't have confusion in our doctrines because we are lead by a modern day Prophet who leads the church inspired by God. I know these things to be true and so can you. If you are looking for true happiness and answers to many of life's questions look no further. Let Christ church help you to find what ou are looking for in your heart. I am so grateful I found it and so can you.

How I live my faith

I am a high councilor in my stake. I oversee the young men program which covers 12 year old youth to 18 years old. I work with the boy scout organization as part of my calling as an assistant district commissioner. I love scouting and all it teaches our youth. As a high councilor I help oversee he organization of the church in our geographic area of north Alabama. I get to speak in church meetings a lot and meet many of the members which I love!

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

Glenn Davis
The church teaches us to think for ourselves. We should study the candidates and select the one who will best represent us in our values and morals. If we can we are encouraged to participate as political leaders and help our communities. I think being educated about the political process and being involved is very important and teaching your children how your government works is also very important. You will never hear any political advertising or campaigning inside the church. Show more Show less
