Hi I'm Geoff
I have a lot of interests, but right now I am focused on work, school, and family. I recently received my Bachelor's Of Science in Psychology and am going to school to obtain my MBA. When I get some spare time I enjoy learning about technology, reading and watching the news, watching basketball, working out, and learning more about health and wellness.
Why I am a Mormon
I am a Latter Day Saint (or Mormon) because I have a testimony that the principles that I live are given to me directly by our Father in Heaven. I know that Jesus Christ lives. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I know that we have a living prophet and apostles that walk the earth today and teach us what God's will is. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and contains words just as sacred as the Bible. The Book of Mormon doesn't contradict the Bible, it helps us to understand the Bible better. I have learned for myself that these things are true, independent of anyone else. I know that you can know that if these things are true as well if you want to know these things for yourself with all your heart and do whatever you can to obtain the truth.
Why do Mormons go on missions?
We go on missions to help others come unto Christ. He told us to take the Gospel to all the world. We send missionaries to obey that commandment. I personally served as a missionary because I loved the Savior and I wanted to do what He had asked me to do. I loved it. I loved serving Him through serving others. Missionaries are amazing people and I highly encourage anyone who is interested in what they have to say that hasn't listened to them to do so.
How I live my faith
I center my life around my family. I try to work hard and build a better life for them and not concentrate on my own selfish pursuits. I don't drink or smoke. I don't put myself in places I shouldn't be. I surround myself with people who believe the same as I do to help strengthen me. I actively participate in my church. I am an assistant leader to the 9 year old boys in our church.
