Hi I'm Ryan

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Palmyra, New York. I am an Ear, Nose, and Throat surgeon who specializes in facial reconstruction.

About Me

I am finishing my long medical training and love what I do. I have travelled to over 30 countries and love doing volunteer work and meeting new people and experiencing their culture. My family plans on continuing this by doing one or two medical/cleft surgery missions a year. I am married and have an awesome 2 year old son and a baby girl on the way. I love to play and watch sports. ESPN is a great invention. I love to scuba dive.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love God. He has given me everything and throughout all the craziness of life He has always been there as a constant helping me and guiding me. I have searched all over the world for truths on how I can know Him better and follow Him. When I was taught about the Church of Jesus Christ I asked God about it and felt so strongly that it was true and where he wanted me to be. Since making that decision I have been so happy! I have met my wonderful wife and married her in a temple, which means we made promises together that means we can be together forever as a family even after this life. It has been amazing to see my little son learn at church about Jesus and the Book of Mormon and see his face light up. I guess to sum it up, I am Mormon because it brings me and my family so much happiness and brings us closer to God in this life, and also because I believe it teaches what is necessary to live with God one day.

How I live my faith

It shapes my everyday life. I am very involved in service events through church such as visiting families every month to check on them and leave them a spiritual message. I have also often helped deliver meals to those in need and helped families who are moving in or out of an area. While in my medical residency for years I was in charge of the men's group at church that was in charge of teaching them lessons, orgazining fun activities(epecially dodgeball!), and making sure all members of the church had their physical and spiritual needs met (like food, heating, electricity, etc)
