Hi I'm Katie

I teach elementary school. I am learning to quilt. I love dark chocolate. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an elementary teacher. I love to read and watch movies. One of my favorite things to do is spend time with my family, both immediate and extended.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. It gives me hope and joy. I love knowing that the Lord and Heavenly Father are there watching over me. I am glad to be a Mormon because it gives me a purpose for this life and helps me understand where I came from and where I am going.

How I live my faith

I am involved in the Young Single Adult congregation, ages 18-30. We have activities every Monday night called Family Home Evening (FHE). We spend a few minutes having a spiritual message and then we have games and refreshments. I am also in charge of all the women in my ward or congregation. I am in charge of making sure the Sunday meetings are ready to go and helping the women grow stronger in their fatih and the gospel.

What is the Relief Society?

Relief Society is an organization for the women in the church from 18 years and up. We meet every Sunday as part of the block of meetings. Relief Society is like another Sunday School. We have lessons and discuss the gospel as women in the church. We also hold other meetings when the local leaders feel it is necessary where we get together as a group of women to learn and grow with each other not in a Sunday meeting. Show more Show less
