Hi I'm Andrew

I'm just an ordinary college student and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm just your average college student. I graduate in a little less than a year, and I'm hoping to break into the sports reporting business. I guess that gives away that I'm a sports enthusiast and I especially like watching college football and basketball, but pretty much all sports are entertaining in my eyes. I used to be an avid fan of skateboarding, wakeboarding, and snowboarding, but when I was sixteen I broke my neck diving into some shallow water, and was paralyzed from the shoulders down. Thanks to the help of the Lord I'm back on my feet and also back on the snowboard and wakeboard. I've also been able to get back into golfing, although that's not "extreme" in anyone's eyes. I'll be getting married in just over a week and I'm looking forward to what the future has in store.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because being a member of the church helps me to be a better person. I grew up as a member of the church and I feel closer to Christ when I try to follow his example. I'm a firm believer in having a personal relationship with Christ, and being a Mormon has helped me to build that relationship. I've seen the hand of God work in my life. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't even be able to type on this keyboard. I know that by living the restored gospel and by listening to living prophets we can get closer to Jesus Christ. I know a lot of people are weary to read the Book of Mormon, but it really is another testament of Jesus Christ and it goes hand in hand with the bible. I've read it numerous times and I know it's a true book because I feel closer to Christ when I read it.

How I live my faith

As a Christian, living my faith means trying to follow the Jesus Christ's example. He devoted his entire life to serving others. I wish I was less self centered and could focus on other people more often. As a member of the church I have been given a lot of opportunities to help people out, and I've been on the receiving end as well. I think that's one of the biggest reasons why we have a church, so there could be an organization set up to help each other out. It's kind of like a giant family.

How can I find someone to talk with, in person, about the Mormon religion?

If you have any questions I'd be more than willing to help out. I've had numerous opportunities to teach in the church, so get in touch and we can chat. If you want to meet with someone in person, we have representatives all over the world. You've probably seen them they're those guys who where white shirts and ties, black name tags, and maybe they've knocked on your door while you were eating dinner... Show more Show less
