Hi I'm Michelle.

I'm a Mormon. I have six beautiful children and an amazing husband.

About Me

Hi. I am a stay at home mom of six children ages 15 to 2 years. I have been married for 16 years. I am orginally from Idaho but we have lived in Texas for the past 9 years. I love spending time with my family, music, piano, singing, cooking, and reading. My favorite genre is historical fiction. My favorite author is Gerald N. Lund.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member all my life and come from a strong pioneer background. However, as any member will tell you, you still must gain your own personal testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. This is something that I have been building my whole life but I distinctly remember moments that have burned in me the truthfulness of the gosel and realizing that being Mormon is such a huge part of who I am, how I think and behave, and how grateful I am for the knowledge and power this gospel has brought into my life and the life of my family. I know that Joseph Smith saw and conversed with our Lord and Savior. The Lord through the prophet Joseph Smith restored his gospel once more upon the earth to help prepare the world to receive him once again. I'm grateful that I live on the earth during this time, that we have a living prophet to guide and direct us, and that we have the blessings of the priesthood and the temples so our families can be bound together throughout the eternities. The Lord lives and he loves each of personally. If you will search for him, he will be there.

How I live my faith

As a family we read our scriptures daily and pray together daily. Each Monday we strive to do Family Home Evening. This is time set apart to spend time together as a family doing fun activities and learning about a topic of the gospel that helps us to be better. Each Wednesday our children participate in the Youth groups, and each Sunday we attend Church. For the past 4 years I have been working in the Women's organization planning and organizing Compassionate relief to the other women in our congregation such as meals when sick, visiting the ill, or other needs that the women may need. I also visit a few sisters every month to talk about the gospel and building our testimonies in our daily lives and to build a friendship that stregthens each of us.

What are some things that tell to you there is a God?

One of my favorite creations that speak of God's love for me are sunsets. I am always in awe at the beauty of his creations. Nature all around us speaks of their Creator. I love to contemplate all the things in our world and how they work so perfectly together. I just took a Human and Anatomy class and was amazed at the pure miracle of the human body and how perfectly it works together. The human body alone is so amazing. There is no way it was just thrown together without a creator. Take all the animals and insects, plants, etc and how each provides there special purpose in the balance of the earth. When I think of how many teeny tiny details went into the creation of the world I am in awe. I am grateful that the Lord sends us to earth in families. We have a place to grow up in safety and love and where we can develop and stregthen our talents as we learn to be more like our Savior. Family is essential to our personal happiness. He knew we needed a support group that would love us in spite of personal weaknesses. I'm grateful for guidance given us through the prophets and the plan of happiness that was laid out before us so we could be successful and happy in returning back to the presence of our Heavenly Father. We are not making this journey alone. The Savior is there to help us if we learn to rely in him. Show more Show less
