Hi I'm Kevin

I'm a father, a scientist, a programmer, a real estate investor, a marketer, an analyst and a currencies trader. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a convert. I joined the church in 1988, a beneficiary of the Set-A-Date program as I later learned. I wanted to find out if the Book of Mormon was true or not. After I read it and prayed a lot about it, I knew that it was the word of God.

Why I am a Mormon

How can I not be? Heavenly Father knows how deeply the Holy Ghost has testified to my soul of the truthfulness of His church. To not be LDS would be to reject this precious, sacred gift. I feel the peace and joy that comes from living the gospel, especially when I serve in the temple. I know this only comes from God. I want to live with Him eternally in the celestial kingdom. This motivates me to endure to the end.

How I live my faith

I keep my covenants. I strive to magnify my church calling. I give of my time, talents and means in service. I try to patiently endure the trials that come my way.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

We go to the temple to prepare ourselves and our ancestors for exaltation in the celestial kingdom. We learn more about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and make sacred covenants with Them. There is a special feeling inside the gates of a temple, because it is dedicated as a house of the Lord. You can discover this for yourself if you stand at a gate and move inside and out. You can truly leave the cares of the world outside, and experience a heavenly peace inside. “Yea, and my presence shall be [in my house], for I will come into it, and all the pure in heart that shall come into it shall see God” (D&C 97:16).
